The Friends actively support many library programs, events and cultural offerings to ensure continued quality library service.

The Friends initiated the Raise-the-Roof Campaign and worked tirelessly to raise almost $2,000,000 for the new main branch.

The Friends have made so many of the Chicopee Public Library's wishes possible. Here are some examples:

Restoration of the Bellamy, Robinson and Stearns portraits with the addition of beautiful new frames
Re-usable family passes for area museums including the Children's Museum in Holyoke, the Springfield Museums, Eric Carle Museum, Hancock Shaker Museum, and Forest Park Zoo
Books from Gold and Silver Sponsoors of the golf tournament
Continued Fundraising Efforts for the Raise the Roof Campaign
Support, food & refreshments for programs run by the Library staff
Yamaha Baby Grand Piano for the Community Room
